Trimester One


Week One Quack: 
Delineate- to describe accurately , Nefarious- extreme wickedness , Vernacular- everyday speech; slang , Brawn- muscular strength 

Week Two Quack: 
Tout- to publicly brag , Enhance- to intensify; improve, Hinder- to slow or impede the progress of , Efface- to erase; to rub out 

​Week Three Quack:
Glutton- someone who consumes too much food or drink, Hiatus- break or vacation, Querulous- grumbling; grumpy, Engender- to create, to cause 

Week Four Quack: 
Obliterate- to destroy completely, Copious- abundant, plentiful, Obscure- dark, unknown; hard to understand, Extol- to praise highly 

Week Five Quack: 
Pugnacious- eager to fight, Quell- to calm, pacify, Artisan- a person who is skillful with his/her hands, Kindle- to start a fire 

Week Six Quack:  
Corroborate- to confirm; back up with evidence, Amorous- feeling loving, especially in a sexual sense, Decorous- proper; in good taste, Expedite-to speed up the progress of 

Week Seven Quack: 
Idyllic- naturally peaceful, Juxtapose- to place side by side,  Incandescent- brilliant; giving off heat or light, Exasperate-to annoy thoroughly

Week Eight Quack: 
Discordant-lacking harmony or agreement, Volatile-highly unstable; explosive, Distend-to swell; to extend, Fecund-fertile 

Week Nine Quack: 
Sage-wise man; to be wise through experience and reflection, Vacuous- lacking ideas or intelligence, Deride- to ridicule, Benevolent –generous, kind

Scrutinize-to examine very carefully, Histrionic- overly dramatic, Didactic- intended to teach; morally instructive, Assail- to attack with words force 

Week Eleven Quack: 
Bucolic- charmingly rural, Pretentious- making ridiculous claims, Gullible- easily deceived, Convivial- fond of partying 

Week Twelve Quack: 
Discrete- unconnected, Discreet- sneaky, noticeable, Fabricate- to lie, Gesticulate- to make gestures, especially when speaking

Week Thirteen Quack: 
Laud
- to praise; to applaud, Belabor- to go over repeatedly or to an absurd extent, Reiterate- to say again; to repeat, Conflagration- a huge fire inferno 

Week Fourteen Quack: 
Induce- to cause to happen, Soporific- causing sleep, very boring, Anarchy- lawlessness; an absence of government or control, Strident- shrill; high pitched

Week Fifteen Quack: 
Nonchalant- not showing any concern or worry,  Malleable- easy to shape or bend, Ludicrous- absurd; ridiculous, Abridge- to shorten or condense 

Week Sixteen Quack: 
Lethargy-sluggishness, laziness, Recondite-hard to understand; over one’s head, Conspicuous- standing out; obvious, Archaic-ancient; outdated 

Week Seventeen Quack: 
Imminent – just about to happen, Predator- one that preys or destroys, Coalesce – to fuse or unite, Exalt -  to glorify

Week Eighteen Quack:
Exult – to celebrate, Extraneous – irrelevant; unnecessary, Incantation – a chant, Assuage – to soothe; to relieve

Insuperable – incapable or being overcome, Assiduous – hardworking, busy, Indulgent- lenient; yielding to desire, Avarice- greed; excessive desire for riches

Week Twenty
Squander-to waste, Penurious-stingy, relating to great poverty, Debunk-to prove wrong, Eccentric-unconventional; a little kooky 

Week Twenty-One
Diverse- different; various, Desiccate-to dry out, Loquacious-talking a lot or too much, Maudlin-wallowing in self pity

Phobia- a persistent, illogical fear, Masticate- to chew, Laconic -not saying much; brief or concise, Malevolent- wishing evil on others; malicious

Week Twenty-Nine:
Meander- to wander around aimlessly,  Apex – tip; peak; summit; the highest point, Nadir – absolute lowest point, Disseminate – to dispense objects; to distribute
Week Thirty:
Emaciated – excessively thin; weak, Puissant – powerful, mighty, Citadel – a fortress overlooking a city; a stronghold, Atrophy – to wither away

Week Thirty-One:
Austere -  stern in manner, without excess, Ornate- elaborately or excessively decorated, Cerebral – of or relating to the brain, Incommodious- lacking space; uncomfortable

Week Thirty-Two:
Noisome- offensive; disgusting, Cacophony- harsh sounds, disturbing noise, Veritable- unquestionable; actual, true, Verbatim- using exactly the same words, word for word

Week Thirty-Three:
Concurrent- at the same time; acting in conjunction, Evade- to elude or avoid by cunning; to flee, Impede- to obstruct or interfere with, Askew- to one side; crooked

Week Thirty-Four:
Queue- to form or wait in a line,  Accolade- award or honor, Torrid- parched by the sun; hot; burning, Trepidation- fear; state of anxiety
Week Thirty-Five:
Fraught- teeming with; laden; full, Temerity- recklessness; wild, Wane- to decrease gradually, Oust – to eject; to force out
Week Thirty-Six:
Connoisseur- an expert, in matters of art and taste, Asunder- in separate parts, Raze- to tear down, Blighted- ruined
Week Thirty-Seven:
Aghast- horrified, Milieu- environment or  surroundings,  Arduous- hard, difficult, tiresome, Coterie- a circle of close  friends
