Relocating to Atlantic Canada September 2025
I am an applied microeconomist in the fields of labour and health. The objective of my research is to assess the role of policy in addressing marginalization by: (1) characterizing the distribution and determinants of economic well-being and health; and (2) evaluating the intended and unintended consequences of policy interventions.
My research addresses issues that are pertinent to individuals and families in rural and remote communities, Indigenous Peoples and other economically vulnerable populations. This includes risky health behaviours, self-reported health and subjective well-being, food insecurity, poverty and inequality, and labour market outcomes. I also have emerging research on water insecurity and environmental racism in Indigenous communities.
Despite working in the United States for the past nine years, my research continues to be anchored in the Canadian context. I am excited to be returning to Atlantic Canada in September 2025.
